All measurements are taken when the item is laid flat.

Please note that Vintage clothing sizes often differ from modern clothing sizes. . We measure all items flat and provide measurements that are true to the clothing as they are now. If there is a size label we will state this in the description but we will also let you know if the true sizes are different from the label and give an estimate of a modern size equivalent. The best way to get a good fit is to take a piece of clothing that you own just now and that fits the way you want them it to and lay them on a flat surface. Using the diagram below measure at the same points that we have on the diagram and compare. Although we are always happy to accept returns for items that don't fit, taking time to compare sizes may help avoid disappointment.
