Very Early  T Walker A1 Ships  log  Mounted on a Oak display board..this is one of my unpolished  ships log  Towing type .Tubular shape with pointed nose .heart shaped float plate and integral 5 bladed rotator the rotator blades stamped with anchor motif and initials TW .Rotary slide to reveal 3 dials on porcelain face .Length 21 inches  Patented in 1861  Exhibited at International Exhibition in 1862  one of the most successful  logs ever made  Details ,design features and Serial No 860 this is  the earliest A1 logs i have seen  suggest manufacture date circa 1861-2  this is a very early one nice clean dial and the cover rotates  has a few dints but at over 150 years old and a lot of use you would expect a bit of damage This exceptional walkers A1 log  would make a great display piece for a nautical decor .Postage royal mail or can collect from SY134JD. tel 07802698691
