You are viewing a fabulous,
Vintage 1960's Brown & Cream Miniature Greek Bouzouki Wind-up Working Music Box!
This is a lovely item, probably a souvenir from Greece, from approx the 1960's to 1970's! It's a 'Music box' without actually being a box, as it's made in the shape of a miniature bouzouki, which is a Greece mandolin style instrument. It is made of plastic, which is made to look like wood, with Greek dancers on the 'bow' back, and the front has paper decals, to make it look like a bouzouki, with frets. It does have four strings which are all attached to tightening keys at the end of the neck, though the tinkling music comes from an internal wind-up mechaism, with a key on the outside. I don't recognise the tune, but it plays very sweetly, and it's a very cute item!
Please read the listing in full and supersize all photos as I do not take returns on Vintage and used items where I have mentioned any issues, so items are bought as seen and described.
The bouzouki measures 11" in length, is 3 1/4" wide at the bowl, and 2 1/4" deep. This item will be boxed to protect it in transit.
