Please note this sale is for one cup / mug only. The right one in the main photo, the rest are for sale separately.

An early Bovril cup / mug here. Maybe one of the first type made? It was dug from a late Victorian early Edwardian dump.

White glazed pottery with BOVRIL  hand written in gilt lettering.

Just over 2 7/8 inches . 7.4 cms high. Tapered from base just over 2¼ inches, 59mms to top just over 3 1/8 inches, 8cms.

Showing its age, there are two cracks as seen, one through the other partly. A couple of tiny lip chips and some roughness to the rim. Stains from burial, haven’t tried to remove them as it might damage the writing.

Also selling other cups:  an “OXO” BEEF IN BRIEF, an OXO STRENGTH IN BEEF and a Beefex.

Good P. & P. discount.
