These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these early 1940s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Spain Today
  • The Union of the Church and Army
  • Fiestas and Dancing
  • Spanish Scenery
  • Spanish Architecture
  • Spanish Bullring
  • Faces of the Spanish People
  • The Andalusian Gypsies
  • Franco’s Rivals
  • What Should We Do About Spain? Act Now by Francis Noel-Baker MP; Think Twice by Hon Quintin Hogg MP

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 32 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples, newsagents delivery name & vintage price on the front cover - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is approaching 80 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
