My partner has nicknamed our basement Tel's toy box as it is filled to the ceiling with scores of storage boxes mostly full of Model kits and toys amassed over a period of some six decades by my Dad my brother and myself .

I have barely made a dent in the storage boxes and every new box opened is a bit of an adventure as none of the boxes contents are listed and in the case of model kits they age from the 1950's up until the 2020's .

My dad was the diecast and car model kit man out of the three of us and this would have been one of his kits he loved cars and being born in the early 1930's lived through in his words the golden age of Car designs when style coupled with performance was king and this kit is of the type of car my dad was talking a mix of  Design perfection , mechanical perfection, luxury perfection

The Delahaye 135 was a luxury car manufactured by French automaker Delahaye designed by engineer Jean François also known as "Coupe des Alpes" after its success in the Alpine Rally, it was first presented in 1935 and signified Delahaye's decision to build sportier cars than before. The 3.2-litre overhead valve straight-six with four-bearing crankshaft was derived from one of Delahaye's truck engines.
