begins this collection of biographies with figures from the mid-18th-century,
most notably Hugo Meynell, the father of modern fox hunting for his role in the
Quorn Hunt.
This 1908 limited edition was published as part of only 250 copies.
This particular two-volume, folio example is numbered no. 189 and is filled
with hundreds of portrait engravings!
