'Delft Blue' Vintage Hand Painted Windmills Hanging Plate
Undated, unsigned, likely second half of 20th century (?)
To reverse 'Handpainted Blue Delft' inscription
Scene - Two iconic blue windmills under clouds sitting above a canal. The plate itself is white with a painted blue rim.
Size: 19.5 cm diameter
Condition:
Attractive and decorative, ready to hang with wire ready installed through the reverse.
No chips or scratches, colours are bright with glossy glaze. Blue painted rim likewise.
Small circular orange/brown mark to reverse side under glaze presumably from firing.
There's an approx 3-4" tiny hairline firing crack in the glaze to the left of the small windmill, as in the glaze presumably from when thin glass-glaze contracted on cooling. Not visible to naked eye, have added an image taken through a 30x magnetifying glass to illustrate.
