This hardcover book titled "Dad's Army: The Defence of a Front Line English Village" by Paul Ableman is a must-have for fans of the classic British television show. Published by BBC Books in 1989, it features 128 pages filled with photos, illustrations and humorous stories.

Supposedly written by Sergeant Wilson's nephew, who refers to diaries apparently written by Captain Mainwaring & letters from Sgt. Wilson. Includes many photos of the characters and some real wartime posters & adverts.

Highly recommended for fans of the original series, as it's something new that retains all its old-style charm.
