I recently had the opportunity to purchase a number of items from a lady who, as a child, emigrated from SWEDEN to the US in 1948.  Her family was quite affluent and brought a large amount of stuff with them, including this small dome topped Trunk. 

 

   Lady said this was her Grandfather's, possibly Great Grandfather's and used to hold tools back in the day.  Measures 18" long at the bottom and widens to almost 20" at the top. 12" wide and 11" tall.  All wood construction with metal bands and reinforcements. Surface is the original very dark green with some wear. The metal straps are black, also original.  Handle on top with rat-tail ends.  Bottom is unpainted and had some felt applied.  Inside is nice and shows handplaning on the wood. Leather strap to keep top from overextending the hinges.   Original lock and working key.  Very nice original Swedish trunk that hasn't been messed with.  Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.  Check my Feedback.
