During WW2 several contractors by the names of Scovil, Risdon, and MS Little made magazines for the M1911A1.
Some early ones were pinned, but most used welded floorplates.
All will have the contractor's initial on top of the floorplate toe, either S, R or L.
Colt bought magazine bodies from these companies and finished them, and the bottom of the mags will also have C-S, C-R or C-L.
These are original World War contractor manufactured U.S.G.I. issued 1911A1 7-round magazine.
Blued tube with spot welded base.
Top lip of the base is marked “R” and tip of base :CR"
