1784-PCM6 Description:

The 1784-PCM6 cable is a 10-feet communication cable with an 8-pin connector. This cable is a Data Highway Plus cable that is used for connecting the 1784-PCMK cards to a computer. The 1784-PCM6 cable comes with 2 wedges. The users should attach the 2 wedges that are provided with the cable to the computer. The wedges are meant to provide strain relief so that the cable is securely connected to the computer and so that the cable cannot be accidentally disconnected. If the user does not use the wedges and the cable disconnects accidentally, this will cause damage to the connector on the cable and the PCMK card. The wedges use a very strong adhesive, so upon the removal of the protective covering, ensure that the wedge is attached to the PC correctly and make sure that the position of the wedge is correct before securing it because the wedge will not be removable once it is attached.
