THE GILT BRASS HAS A RICH YELLOW GOLD COLOR

CIRCA 1800-1830 the threaded iron screw is hand forged & the screw threads are hand filed not machine made. Also, the end of the screw was clipped off when hot by a blacksmith, that’s why it does not have a sharp point like a modern machine made screw

Made of solid brass, some stamped & some cast brass, all brass looks to be gold gilt, the mounting screw is hand forged iron. The back of the round flower holdback is gilt tin
