This is a Noguchi Coffee Table, Model IN-50, initially designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1944. This example hails from the 1950s and was produced by Herman Miller. The design features a thick piece of glass perched atop a sculptural interlocking solid wood base. We believe this table to be composed of birch under an original coat of black paint.

The piece measures 36 inches deep, 50 inches wide, and is 15-3/4 inches high. We have intentionally left this piece in untouched condition. The evident signs of age and use reaffirm the value, proving it to be a truly older piece. There is wear throughout the base, and the corners show darkening and wear. The paint is chipped away in some places. There is a small chip on the edge of the glass, as shown. Overall, this table is in good solid condition with lots of patina. Please see photos.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
