I’m very excited to offer for your consideration this absolutely STUNNING 1940’s crystal chandelier by the incomparable Lightolier!

This fixture is absolutely dripping in dazzling 40’s Hollywood Regency style and of the highest quality, as is to be expected from such a high end manufacturer. The original tag is mostly worn away from the back side of the canopy, but there is enough left to be identifiable as Lightolier. I have included the catalog cut showing this fixture with the other pieces in the collection. How neat!

The silver plated finish is in good vintage condition, and has been retouched a bit, but still shows signs of age, being an 80 year old fixture. The canopy and mounting hardware are original to the fixture, but the chain is new - an exact replacement for the badly corroded original. This is, unfortunately, a very common issue with vintage lights. I am rarely able to retain original fixture chain.

The large, pressed glass shade is molded into a diamond-weave pattern and throws amazing light. It’s a very heavy, stunning piece of glass, free of chips or flaws. Graceful crystal swags encircle the perimeter, adding just the right amount of elegance to an already beautiful fixture. As is the nature of vintage crystal, a few of them have suffered scattered, minor chips here and there, but nothing egregious or noteworthy.

This scale of this fixture is ideal for almost any medium size room, measuring about 30 - inches to the bottom of the crystal ball. It is quite robust in diameter though, measuring at 16 - inches around. I may be able to adjust the length a bit, just let me know!

Above the large glass disc are four brand new porcelain sockets that accept standard base light bulbs (not included). These, and the wiring are brand new. All the necessary mounting hardware to install the fixture is included in the sale.
