Presumed 1st edition. Copyright date and print date on title page are both 1892.

Ex-library books with typical markings, card pouch, and register. Covers have bumped corners, scuffs, and the impact of library markings, but are sturdy. Bindings are intact. There is some spread between pages 176 and 177 of volume 2. Vol. 1 has a 2 inch bottom edge tear near binding on first title page. Aside from that, there are a few minor blemishes. A few pages have small corner folds. There is a stain or pencil mark on page 147 of volume 1. All pages are clean and completely legible.

Vol. 1 is 368 pages.

Vol. 2 is 321 pages.

Size is 7.9 inches x 5.5 inches.
