Sevres Pois Blue Hard Paste Hand Painted Jean Jacques Dieu Large Bowl Circa 1792 A

Authentic 18th century Sevres hard paste porcelain bowl. Hand painted in cobalt and gold by Jean Jacques Dieu who worked at Sevres between 1777 and 1811. Marked on the reverse with an underglaze blue crown over a double L and and a triangle with 171717 inside which is the painter's mark of Jean Jacques Dieu. Has two letters Os on either side which are a date code for 1792. Also has typical incised marks for the period. This is an example of the Pois Bleu service made for Jose Gutierrez de los Rios Y Rohan-Chabot, Conde De Fernan Nunez, Spanish Ambassador to France from 1781 to 1791.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 11 1/8 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall.
