Photographs of 1936 graduates together with their favorite historical or literary character...no repeats! Unfortunately the yearbook doesn't share the rules for picking the characters, but a first come first serve approach must have been used...otherwise all the men would be Napoleon and the women Cleopatra. I guess. An interesting analysis of what the Greatest Generation read in high school, e.g. Pythias, Wee Wee Winkle, Penrod, Ulysses, Sappho, etc. A lot of fun to read the book title and then see the face of the teenager who reads it.
