Vintage Mint CONWAY STEWART 77 - Fountain Pen - C1958 - UK - G F Trim 

 

Red Herringbone - Med Nib - Restored - Superb

 

This  Conway Stewart 77 was manufactured around the later 1950's in England.

In mint condition. The pen has not been used. 

Largest of the Conway 1950 's range of pens, only the 100 is bigger but only manufactured in black.

Measures just under 5 1/2 inches. 

The colour is red herringbone.

Fully serviced / restored.

Nib.  Correct nib marked in script - Duro Conway Stewart - 14k Gold - 58 round shaped breather. Writes a medium. 

Barrel.  No imprint, not that uncommon for Conways to miss the imprint process. Gold fill lever with Conway logo. Completely free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks.  

Cap. Treble gold filled cap band, gold filled  Conway logo clip with good tension. Everything in good order again completely free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks. Topped off with a black stud.

Restoration.  The pen has been disassembled ultra sonically cleaned, all parts checked, reassembled with a new sac, hand polished and water tested.  

Overall. This is a basically mint conditioned Conway Stewart  77. use or place in a collection.
