full size museum quality reproduction bearskin of the Grenadier a’ Pied (the
grumblers)
Bearskin
made from the finest faux fur used in the very highest level of the fashion
industry, 100% bear friendly. Indistinguishable from the real thing! We make
all the component parts (except the front plate), hand stitched and embroidered
(no computer program work, all hand and eye like the originals).
Front
plate full turned on the edges and faced at the bottom of plate with black kid
leather, on originals as the plate caused premature boldness amongst many
guardsmen!
Top plate
bomb worked with cotton on a field of red 100% pure felted wool. Cockade hand
embroidered gold wire. Plume hand cut red cocks feather 2 meters hand tide on to wire
stay. Gold wire cords 15 meters hand twisted and
plated with front tassel and side small tassel to hold cords in place.
Internal
leather socket for plume and cockade. Full leather sweatband, black internal
cotton pull/adjustable band and red heavy calico lining. Frame made from
heavy acrylic sheet.

height of skin 40cm at front when fur shaken out.
