Kamei Glass is a long-established glass tableware wholesaler in Osaka, Japan, and is famous for successfully re-producing "Satsuma Kiriko", which was discontinued after about 20 years of commercialization in the 1800s. Unfortunately, Kamei Glass itself went out of business in 1998, but until then Kamei had handled a wide range of domestic and European glass products.
We were able to get in touch with a former Kamei Glass employee at the time to learn more about the product.
-The Sticker pasted to the product is the only clue as to whether it is a Kamei Glass product or not. (Because it is not stamped)
-Items with stickers in the color scheme of the flags of France, Germany, Italy, etc., were imported from these countries to Japan by Kamei. Products made in Japan have a variety of sticker formats.
