For sale is my recently restored 1941 Norton 16H. Perfect if you need a vehicle to head to D- Day celebrations in Normandy.

The bike is 1941; Frame: W62799; Engine: W791100. This equates to Contract C11082 – 3rd July – 19th November 1941.

Road registered, V5 in my name.

Bike was originally purchased off Stuart Bray as a project. As you can see there are lots of good original parts in the restoration. Original and rare to find control levers, toolbox, Du 42 headlight and blackout cover – I have an original glass in the small box of bits that comes with the bike. Other original parts that are rare and difficult to find are the tinware, wheels etc and rear convoy light.

The engine has been fully rebuilt – piston, valves, valve guides, pushrods, guides, bearings, head gasket and as a result runs strongly.

Original and rare Tallflow air filter is fitted. Have not touched that, includes original interior material and what appears to be original paint on the box and the tube.

The speedometer was a refurbished item bought of Stuart Bray, in working order. Doesn’t work on the bike as I have not yet found the correct drive sprocket fitted in the front hub.

The seat cover and rear stand are not original, and I haven’t found a decent side stand yet, bought a repro stand but this was really poor and couldn’t even be made to look acceptable.
