Large two-section divided/condiment porcelain dish.
Seashell shaped with figural and curly handle.
Hand painted interior and beautifully decorated
with colorful flowers and gilded ornaments.
Gilt scrolls against wide pink border and gilt handle.
Gilding is in excellent condition, except of three
spots by the rim, what is normal for it age.

Marked to the underside:
blue underglaze "Spread eagle w/scepter" over "TPM" -
- trademark for well-known manufacturer Carl Robert Tielsch & Co.;
also impressed two little "symbols", see photos with red arrows.

Made in Altwasser, Silesia, Germany, ca.1845-1855
