Lamp measures 23 inches tall including the top finial. The shade is 10.5 inches long and 7.25 inches wide. The wooden base measures 8 inches long and 7.5 inches wide. It is marked on the bottom, it reads, “ Made in China, 2^nd Anniversary “LI SHI CHUAN”, Herbalist, 1368-1644 Ming Dynasty. It is a beautiful lamp with original shade and finial. The finial is an ivory color Chinese man. The figure of Li Shizhen is seated with a book in one hand and a writing brush in the other hand. Li Shizhen was a herbalist, naturalist, pharmacologist and writer of the Ming Dynasty. He is the author of a 27 year work, the Compendium of Materia Medica. He developed ways of classifying herbs and medicines for treatments. He was born July 3, 1518 and died in 1593. The lamp has a gold color electric cord with a rotating OFF/ON knob. The cord measures 90” long. It is working and in very good to excellent condition. It weighs 4 pounds and 12 ounces prior to packaging.  It will be shipped with no bulb and the shade removed.
