Tall Bearded Iris Dancing Star

This superb iris is one of the more recent introductions from America and not widely available. It is a strong grower, with show quality stems each producing 6-8 large flowers. The colours are vivid and it has a strong scent. Height 36-42 inches, flowers mid-late season.

Standard dwarf varieties mostly flower in late April/early May, intermediates in mid May, and the tall bearded start at the end of May.   Plant in the same bed ranked by size for a very long display

Like all specialist bearded iris growers, I only despatch at the start of the transplanting season.  Irises don't do well in pots as  they hate root constriction, so mine are field grown where they have the free root run they need to develop into sturdy plants.
