This antique hand woven miniature basket is a rare find for collectors of Americana. The basket measures approximately 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 excluding the handle and is made of oak splint wood. It has a beautiful warm brown that comes from aging, with red trim, smooth patina and was created approximately in the late 19th Century in the US-Northeast region by an unknown maker. The Buttocks Basket with bound wrapping handle is in its original condition and has not been signed by the maker. This item is perfect for anyone interested in American country antiques and would make a great addition to any collection.
