This special edition Tom Kitten was released in 1997 with a special gold John Beswick back stamp and gold detailing to the figurine which on Tom was gold buttons on his coat. The back stamp was also special as at the time the figures were produced by the Royal Albert factory, so didn't have the Beswick back stamp as they would have when the original factory made them.

I have had this in my personal collection since then but I don't think I have ever had it on display, or if I have it was only fleetingly before it was carefully stored.

The colours on these figurines are really vibrant and beautifully convey the characters from the book, far superior to the resin figurines that are now offered.
