This is a Platner Coffee Table, model 3714T, originally designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. This particular example dates to the 1960s. The design features a bronzed-steel base, and has a substantial ½ inch thick tempered glass top. The base is constructed of vertical steel rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. It is truly a work of art in and of itself.

This table measures 36 inches in diameter, and is 15.25 inches high. The base is desirably worn, par for the course with these bases from the 60s. The glass top is clean and has no chips to its beveled-edge. Overall, this original Platner table is in very good condition with some wear. Please see photos.
