ERDr Wall Worcester Hand Painted Floral Cobalt Green & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer C

Very pretty early first period Dr Wall Worcester fluted porcelain tea cup and saucer. Divided into 3 sections by green columns enhanced with a dot design and edged with gilding on the cup and 4 sections on the saucer. With a flower in the center of the cup and saucer. In between each column are hand painted flowers in pink, purple, yellow and red framed in gold gilt scrollwork. With cobalt blue along the rim and gold gilding along the edge. Gold gilt highlights to the handle. Marked with a blue underglaze script "W" on the bottom. Circa 1775.

Minor wear to the gilding and some usage wear consistent with age, but no chips or cracks, and a few very tiny stacking flakes to the foot rim of the saucer.

The cup measures
approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures
approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
