Antique Harpers Bazar Thanksgiving Number 1895 Framed Relief Etching Proof By Will Bradley

Not sure about this piece. It looks like the cover for Harpers Bazar but the paper is much thicker and more brown than actual magazine covers from that era and the grapic of the woman is not complete - under intense lighting you can see a faint image in white or cream that would complete the piece to look like the cover image. We believe it's an original proof but could be that the first layer of white ink has faded. We really don't know. Also, it's marked "Relief Etching" on the back and we are not experts - looks like a lithograph, or woodprint, can't be sure of the process.

Nicely matted with a fabric covered mat and framed in an original wood frame with some sort of composite facing, possibly Bakelite.

Frame measures 24" x 18 1/4".

Print measures 4 3/8" x 9 3/8".
