Here is a very sweet old MIJ bass in ridiculously good shape for it's age.

The wiring LOOKS original. See photo.

But...the battery compartment does not have a battery. 

It is NOT active electronics.

Precision and Jazz pickups.

The pickups have polepieces that look different from each other and I don't know if they came this way. Any mods were done far prior to me getting this instrument.

The bass guitar plays excellent and sounds HUGE. It's a remarkably comfortable bass for under $1000.

Massive and varied tones.

Smooth narrow neck, like a Fender Jazz. Slinky!

And around FORTY YEARS OLD vintage, it still looks SHOWROOM!
