Number 5 in a series of twelve reproduction postcards entitled "Gilbert & Sullivan in America". The series depicts 19th Century principal performers in various roles, taken from cabinet photographs from the David Stone Collection.
This card depicts Lillian Russell as Patience, c.1881.
The cards were purchased in the 1990s, but they are in excellent/as-new condition.
NOTE: Apologies for the poor photograph quality. The cards are all white on the reverse, not blue and the front is more of a sepia tint than a blue/white.
