It also uses standard AA Batteries available anywhere and it's easy to have spares.
You have still an Optical Viewfinder, something almost no-one has in anywhere near and affordable price point
I do recommend your primary set be a set of rechargebles though. or at least the faster discharging Lithium Type.
Alkalines last long but sometimes do not provide the on demand current needed to operate the unit and tend not to last as long. as one would expect. or even though they are still good for most applications, the camera will warn you to change the batteries

I will also throw in a set of regular alkaline batteries and a carry case to get you rolling.
Serial numbers are recorded and a unique security tag is attached to an indiscreet location that you can peel off. This to avoid scammers that like to play games and switcheroos. (It's a crime)
A common issue with this style is that a small retaining clip that is part of the main body snaps off and the battery compartment doesn't close tight. This is such a one. It closes, holds in the batteries ok but there s a gap visible where is won't snap tight - still holds - this is pretty common with these models

You'll need a larger SD card -None is provided - you need one to take any pictures - that's the one that comes with it new. I also believe that these super large SD cards won't read due to the age of the technology - I think it's 4GB or 8GB Max - You'll have to experiment moving up to larger capacity cards
