Vintage Bubble Glass Lighted
Advertising Clock for Raytheon Tubes TV Radio
Service - Telechron Motorized
Superb Late 1940’s/Early 1950’s Bubble Glass Lighted
Advertising Wall Clock of a Vintage TV Test Pattern for Raytheon Vacuum Tubes, made
by Electric Time Company Inc. (ELTIMECO) w/Telechron
Motorized Clockworks in Excellent Working Condition. Raytheon would then distribute the clocks to “Expert
TV and RADIO Service” Shops where “All Work Guaranteed” that inventoried Raytheon
Tubes “Right… For Sight and Sound”. The ‘Bubble
Glass’ Clock is marked “Electric Time Company Inc. of
S. Natick, Mass, USA, N. G. Co. Telechron Motorized”. It used to have a paper label stating ‘ELTIMECO
Electric Clock No. 106’.
The clock case & glass have been thoroughly cleaned
and the working Telechron Motor lightly serviced (sprockets & gears blown
off and then lightly lubricated). The aluminum
clock case has nominal scratches and dents. Light Bulbs replaced with 4.5 watt bright LED
bulbs. No chips or cracks in the clock
face or ‘bubble’ cover. So, the clock
lights up nice and bright and purrs along quietly keeping good time. Overall Condition, commensurate with its age
of 75 years or so, is VG+. Measures approx. 15” in diameter by 4-1/4” deep.
