This is an amazing historic resource and an invaluable reference tool for the gunsmith, re-enactor, single-shot rifle enthusiast, cowboy action shooter or blackpowder fan! This package contains a variety of drawings related to the legendary Remington rolling Block No. 1 Rifle. This rifle joins the likes of the Sharps 1874 and Winchester 1885 High Wall as one of the legendary single-shot rifles that were so often associated with buffalo hunting on the American Great Plains. Included in this auction are 16 pages of large format 11x17 drawings. They include 14 pages of precise measured drawings of every part of the gun for both single-trigger and double-set trigger models, plus there are drawings for the pistol grip shotgun butt and even the Gove Conversion Lever Action. That includes drawings for the triggers, receiver, barrel, breechblock, hammer, firing pin, butt stock, forearm, butt plate, and all the pins, screws, and springs. All dimensions are clear and readable. Following those pages is a page with copies of the original 1865 J. Rider patent filing covering the action. And just to make sure you know how it all goes together there is an exploded assembly drawing and some historical information about the rifle. These drawings are so detailed and fascinating that you could study these for hours. These are professionally reproduced on 11x17 paper to be clear and readable throughout. The pages are shipped rolled in a protective cardboard tube to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
