Studio art pottery hand-thrown stoneware vase.  The exterior features a coarse unglazed natural brown texture with horizontal streaks.  In contrast the upper 2" and interior is finished in a smoother gray speckled matte glaze.  A protruding ring separates the two finishes and makes lifting this piece easier.

Stands almost 9" tall, 4.5" max diameter at the base, somewhat smaller at the top.  It weighs almost 2 lbs. and holds over 5 cups.

Found a shallow chip inside the rim as pointed out in the last picture, possibly pre-glaze as it doesn't expose any brown raw clay color.  No other issues - no cracks, marks, residue nor stains.

The underside is signed - looks like inscribed "Kiln God Stoneware".
