Genuine, authentic, original photograph signed by Oberst Gerhard Klein.

Klein was a highly decorated German Army infantry troop regiment and division commander during WW2!

Klein during WW2 was known as the Commander of Infanterie Division "Friedrich Ludwig Jahn" particularly during the Battle of Warsaw 1944-45, and previously Commander of Grenadier Regiment 1077 and 688 on the Eastern Front.

Because of his military successes, Klein was awarded the German Cross in Gold, the Infantry Assault Badge, the Wound Badge in Black and the Iron Cross First and Second Class.

Because of his extreme personal bravery and successful military leadership in combat, Klein received the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on December 30 1943!

The 3.5 x 5 inch glossy black and white photograph shows Klein in his field Wehrmacht officers uniform wearing his Knights Cross and other military awards, and he has signed his full name rank and rank as Oberst, a.D., on the reverse side in blue ballpoint ink pen, postwar.  The signed foto has lite collectors album remains on reverse, otherwise is in very good condition.  I purchased this signed foto from Todd Mueller Autograph Auctions sometime ago.  Along with a modern, internet, unsigned print of German soldiers in Warsaw.  Total: 2 items.
