Chinese export folding lacquer game board for chess / checkers and backgammon. The top is finely hand painted with gold gilt figures and Chinese implements with bats while the sides are painted with character scenes. The inside has a hand painted gold gilt backgammon board with butterfly and floral decoration.

Age - Qing Dynasty, circa later part of the 19th century

Approximate Size - 3 + 5/8 inches high by 19 + 1/2 inches long by 9 + 3/4 inches wide when closed. Approximately 19 + 1/2 inches wide when open.
