Lot of 10 Lido, Archer and Ajax Soft Plastic Cowboy and Indian (Native American) Western Horses

Various Manufacturers including  Lido, Ajax and Archer. Circa 1950s. Soft plastic Approx. 3 inches long and 2-1/2 inches tall (60mm) for use with hard or soft plastic 40-45mm figures. All have molded-on saddles and reins.

This is a lot of 10 similar if not exactly the same horses that show up in most Archer, T. Cohn(Superior) and other play sets from the 1950s. It is believed that Bergen created the first mold and Archer, Ajax and Lido copied it, first in Styrene (hard) plastic and later in soft plastic.  Slight variations – some hosrses have partitions inside, some are marked, some not and there are different colors. Two horses have small manufactured holes on opposite flanks for attaching a wagon. See Photos.

No Cracks, breaks or chew marks.
