Smaller version of DR-75, DR-120, DRP-240 and DRP-480, equivalent constant current limiting, greater efficiency and improved temperature operation! The NDR-75, NDR-120, NDR-240 and NDR-480 also provide a more conveniently located voltage adjustment with no need for the 110VAC to 240VAC input voltage switch on the DR-120 and DRP-480S. Also replaces the EDR-75 and EDR-120 with 3 year warranty (cw 2 year), high-temperature electrolytic capacitors (higher temperature operation 70°C cw 60°C), greater efficiency (0.5% better) and better EMI (electromagnetic interference) specifications (note, the EDR is not recommended for domestic applications). The NDR-240 provides a replacement for the DR-120 and many other 120W power supplies that need upgrading to a larger current and/or higher temperature operation unit. The NDR-240 and NDR-480 are also "greener" with better efficiency and 20% less heat generated and "safer" with lower leakage current and greater isolation. The NDR-240 and NDR-480 also provide "active" Power Factor Correction (PFC)+.

The Meanwell NDR 75W, 120W, 240W and 480W units come in 12V (75W and 120W only), 24V or 48V and are only 32mm, 40mm, 63mm, 86mm width respectively. They have constant current limit on overload with automatic recovery, except the 480W unit... constant current for 3 seconds then shuts down. Also all units have over temperature and over voltage protection (OTP and OVP). These power supplies operate from 100 to 240VAC input and provide an output voltage adjustable from 0% to +16% (13.8V, 27.6V and 55.2V can be provided). They fit a standard DIN TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 railing and come with a 3 year Australian warranty.

Some "on-the-web" comments... 1. "I have hundreds of 600 Watt 24V Meanwells running in the field and probably another 100+ 350Watt 5V running in the field and they are the most reliable piece of equipment compared to everything else. I've -never- replaced one in over 11 years, but I have replaced a lot of cruddy circuit boards designed or assembled by the less technically inclined (companies).", 2. "But in the end I've learnt a lesson here and that is spend the extra cash and buy some quality power supplies like the meanwell brand or else you could be in for a very frustrating time but I don't have the budget for that this year so I'll have to deal with what I have (sad face)". 3. Need a decent power supply... I can recommend mean well supplies. They are low end industrial supplies but are good quality, much better than no-name chinese supplies you can get from ebay etc.. I use mean well in lots of equipment and have had very few failures in thousands of hours of run time.

The NDR-120-24 is a replacement for EDR-120-24, DR-SPS120W24V, SD-120-24, MP-3196, 282-502. The NDR-120-48 is a replacement for EDR-120-48, DR-SPS120W48V, SD-120-48, MP-3197, M8414A.The NDR-240-24 is a possible replacement for DR-120-24, DRS-1210-24, DR-SPS120W24V, SD-120-24, MP-3196, 282-502 plus many others. The NDR-240 which does NOT shut-down with current overload, provides a cheaper alternative to the SDR-240 and the WDR-240 (operating at 240VAC). The NDR-480-24 provides a cheaper alternative to the SDR-480-24 and the WDR-480-24 (operating at 240VAC). The NDR-480-24 is also a possible replacement for DRP-240-24, DRS-2410-24, DRP-480-24, DRP-480S-24 and many other power supplies.Beware of "fakes" and "look-a-likes" (with logos of "MWKJ", "M&W", "MiWi", "WH", "MN", "MIEG WAEI", "NWJS" for example) these are often cheap, low quality products that do not meet the safety requirements for use in Australia. Also beware of purchasing this product from overseas as an Australian Warranty will not be provided. This unit has exposed 240VAC terminals and must be installed inside a suitable enclosure according to local electrical authority regulations. +NOTE, any power supply above 150W that does not have POWER FACTOR CORRECTION most-likely does not meet C-TICK or EMI requirements for use, on 240VAC mains in Australia! You can generally tell if a high-wattage (> 150W) power supply does NOT have "active" PFC because it will have a switch to select 115VAC or 230VAC. The advantage of "active" PFC is that not only is the AC mains current reduced (and of course "in phase" with voltage... something that power companies prefer), but the electrical interference (EMI) is reduced (less harmonics) BUT also it stablises the input allowing the AC voltage to vary greatly WITHOUT having to use a SWITCH which activates voltage doubling when the AC input is less than 180VAC.
