Here I have for sale a Della Robbia Pottery,Birkenhead, vase, maybe by Gwendoline Buckler.
The vase stands 5.25 inches inches high, and measures, approximately 12 inches around its widest point.
The top rim measures 2.5 inches in diameter and the base measures 2.25 inches in diameter.
The
vase is decorated very well, with a stylized Floral design, the glaze
is good a typical Della Robbia Turquoise, and the design is well
executed.
The
base has the usual Galleon mark, and the incised initials of G.B, possibly for Gwendoline Buckler
This
piece is good condition for Della Robbia, there is a small chip to the
underside of the base, it cant be seen when on display and does not
affect the stance of the vase, so I have left it alone, there are also a
couple of very small glaze flakes to the top rim, again they are hardly
noticeable, so I have left them alone aswell, it is a very nice example
and displays very well.
Any white marks or other are either camera glare or under glaze.
Who ever buys this vase will not be disappointed and it would make a great addition to any collection.
