This is an exquisite antique 9 carat gold and amethyst stick pin made by Harry and Charles Banks fully hallmarked at the rare Chester assay office in 1918. 


The pin has hallmarks on the back with makers H&CB ( Harry and Charles Banks ), number 9 and .375 for 9 carat gold, the wheat sheaves for Chester assay office and date letter S for 1918.

The stone is a tiny faceted amethyst that has been fully tested and is a genuine amethyst.

The pin length is 5.3 cm ( just over two inches ) with head 0.8 cm ( one third of an inch ) and the total pin weight is 1.0 gram.
