Vintage 1930's California Perfume Co; Avon; Child's Perfume Set + Display Box. The labels on the bottles say "California Perfume Co. Inc. Avon Products, Inc., Div. New York Montreal". My basic research on the company would place this in early 1930's. Box measures 3" x 5 1/2" x 1", with 2 young girls playing in the outdoors. Small stain in top left corner, but really in outstanding condition. Top lifts up by small ribbon sticking out of front edge. Same child image as found on the top outside also found on the inside of the lid. No problem with the lid coming away from the rest of the box-it is solidly held in place. Inside are 4 bottles of perfume. Bottles are 2 1/4" tall and all are empty. Names of the perfumes are Gardenia, Bolero; Ariel (I think) and Trailing Arbutus. The paper labels on the first 2 bottles are great; the third bottle has some loss of the letters and the mane is hard to read and the 4th bottle has slight left edge wear. Each bottle has the old Avon logo at the top.
