Here is a most unusual antique desktop paperweight, round in shape and the base made from green striated marble. Upon this is a characterful, three-dimensional, gilt metal representation of a Bloodhound dog head.

The item was found in France and dates from the 19^th century.

There is some very minor wear to the gilt finish of the dog’s head. The base seems free from chips and cracks.

This would make the most superb desktop ornament, ideal for any dog lover or enthusiast of this particular breed.

The paperweight has a diameter of 3.5 inches (8.9 cm), and a depth of about 2.8 inches (2 cm).
