FED-5B - Soviet rangefinder camera, the first model from the unified series "FED-5", is distinguished by the absence of a light meter. It was produced by the FED Kharkov Machine-Building Industrial Association from 1975 to 1991, replaced the FED-3 camera with a trigger cocking shutter.

Specifications:

The type of photographic material used is type 135 film in standard cartridges. Frame size - 24 × 36 mm. Perhaps the use of two-cylinder cassettes with a sliding slot.

The case is metal, with a removable back wall.

Trigger cocking shutter and film rewind. The trigger has a transport and working position.

The frame counter is automatically reset when you remove the back of the camera. The presence of a self-resetting frame counter increased the height of the cameras (compared to the already high FED-3 apparatus).

Rewind film “tape measure”.

The standard lens is Industar-61 L / D 2.8 / 55, enlightened. The connecting sizes for nozzles: smooth - 42 mm; threaded (light filters) - M40.5 × 0.5 mm.

Interchangeable lens mount - M39 × 1 thread, working length - 28.8 mm

The photographic shutter provides the following shutter speeds: 1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 s and “B” - long excerpt.

The viewfinder is paired with a rangefinder, the base of the rangefinder is 43 mm. Viewfinder diopter correction mechanism (within ± 2 diopters)

Sync contact “X”, sync speed 1/30 s or more. Early release cameras lacked a central sync contact.

Mechanical self-timer.

Tripod socket thread is 1/4 inch.
