Raketa (Paкéтa) Perpetual Calendar, vintage Soviet Russian watch

It has a gold plated case with a steel back and a stunning two tone blue finished dial that compliments the gold markers. The watch has rarely been used and runs very well.

On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin made the first manned flight into space with Vostok 1. In honor of this event, the Petrodvorets Watch Factory called its watches "rocket", or Raketa / Paкéтa in Russian. Raketa watches were produced for the army, navy, polar expeditions and civilians.


The movement is rewound by turning the crown clockwise (away from you)

Time setting - pull the crown 1 mm to the right until it clicks

Date setting - pull the crown to the right to the end > this adds +1 day to the calendar
