This Listing is for ONE NEW Block of 4 La Florida Forever Stamps from 2013.

Mint Condition. MNH. No flaws. From a Smoke-free and Pet-free Environment.

On April 3, 2013, the U.S. Postal Service issued these self-adhesive La Florida Forever stamps in St. Augustine, FL to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the naming of the state of Florida by Ponce De Leon (when he saw the coastline covered in colorful flowering plants). "La Florida" (meaning Feast of Flowers) was a reference to the Easter Celebration in Spain. Steve Buchanan of Winsted, CT is the artist of the 4 different flowers featured in this design that melds them into a full bouquet picture in a block of 4 together.

The four flowers featured on these stamps include:

Red and Pink Hibiscus;

Yellow Cannas;

 Morning Glories in Red, White and Shades of Purple; and

White and Purple Passionflowers.
