Very dark black wood, natural ferrule & sole, fitted with black plastic mouthpiece. Reed seat in very good condition, plays in tune with Warnock red chanter reed. See pics.

The chanter top is airtight. Note: There is a crack that is only under the chanter top ferrule that does not extend into the top. This crack is consistent with outward pressure from over-hemping tenon…and does not appear to be from moisture swelling of the top chamber. There is also hairline crack in the bowl of the chanter that does not extend into the chanter neck or the tenon. No cracks in the ferrule or the sole.

Chanter shows signs of careful use and not abuse. Patina consistent with vintage age.
