The book is in very good condition, considering it is an ex-library copy. Still being still compact and square. The covers are fairly clean and black, with the ski lines on the front still prominent, but they do have some minor shelf wear to the extremities and odd bump to the ends. The spine is also looking great and square with the gold titles and logo still prominent. Again with only some small areas of shelf wear to the edges. 

Inside, the book is generally clean but with tanned pages. With the usual library markings found in these copies. Pen marks on the title page and the inset on the FEP. A stamp to the title and copyright pages. There is also browning to the text block edge. Overall, not bad for a book that is nearly 40 years old! Please do check photos for exact condition.

The dust jacket is a new, high quality facsimile of the first impression dust jacket published by Jonathan Cape in 1963. Printed on 170gsm paper, it presents the book extremely well.
