3 Vintage Bybee Pottery LIGHT BLUE COFFEE CUP MUGS with natural flaws.

Completely handmade, glazed and fired by the artisans at Bybee Pottery.

Each cup holds 10 ounces.

If you are familiar with Bybee Pottery, then you know the characteristics
of this crudely handmade pottery is it's trademark.  

Characteristic flaws include color variations, tiny air bubble pops, glaze drips,
glaze skips and rubs, original firing flaws along with an unglazed and rough 
bottom rim.

Selling exactly as pictured.

Bybee Pottery was the oldest pottery west of the Allegheny Mountains. Founded in
Bybee Kentucky in1809 by Webster Cornelison, the business sold a wide variety of 
pottery pieces and encouraged customers to tour the building and watch the artisan
potters hand forming, throwing, molding and glazing all the items. The pottery was
able to mine all the clay they used within a short radius of their building.  The Bybee
Pottery thrived and survived through six generations of the Cornelison family and
as the newer generations found new interests, pottery production and sales dwindled.
The pottery closed in 2011.

MARKED:          BB on the bottoms.

CONDITION:      No chips.  No cracks.  Has the typical Bybee
                           glaze runs, air bubbles, color variations, color drips,
                           ripples, glaze skips and rubs.  Unglazed, rough bottoms.

MEASURES:     Each cup is approx. 3 1/4" tall with a 3 1/2" mouth opening.
